Acoustic Feedback  was a project created in the spring/summer semester 2017 at  CITAstudio . The research investigates influencing human behaviour through the acoustic modification and responsive atmospheric audio. Specifically, the application of evolutionary computation in optimising origami-inspired faceted timber plate structures. It does so by using ray-tracing and reverb time as performance benchmarks in the concurrent development of: faceted structures that reflect sound and audio systems which respond to changes in light and movement. The development of adaptive robotically-milled finger joints to create the shell was necessary, this fabrication method was explored in 1:1 prototypes.
